VIP programme
A VIP programme is a casino loyalty scheme that moves players up levels and gives them bigger rewards the more they bet.
Also called VIP program, loyalty programme, VIP club, rewards programme
Many crypto casinos track the total you stake and move you up levels as it grows. Rewards can include rakeback, cashback, level-up and reload bonuses, higher withdrawal limits and a personal host. Levels are usually based on the amount wagered, not on deposits or losses.
Example. Say a level needs 100,000 in total wagers and pays a level-up bonus of 50. On games with a 1% house edge, the expected cost of wagering 100,000 is 1,000. The bonus gives back 5% of that. On slots with a 4% edge the expected cost is 4,000. These numbers are made up to show the sum. Real programmes differ, and many do not publish their full reward tables.
What people get wrong. VIP rewards are paid out of the house edge on your own bets, and they return only part of it. No programme makes play profitable over time. Betting more to reach the next level costs more, on average, than the level pays.
A VIP scheme is built to keep you playing. If rewards are changing how much you bet, set limits or look at self-exclusion. Some regulators restrict these schemes for that reason.
